About Today's Find
New Buffalo native Angela (Zientarski) Trainor returns to her
roots by opening a business here in Harbor Country. Her vision-
an eclectic and ever changing inventory of restored home decor.

Angela takes her love of finding furniture and other home decor
items that still have "life" in them and reinvents each piece by
using her 30+ years of sewing and furniture refinishing
experience as her guide.

What started as a hobby has turned into something more. Each
day after hunting for pieces to work on, Angela would report
her findings to a designer friend in an e-mail titled "Today's
Finds." After filling her own house and cottage with finished
pieces, she had to find more space for her wares. She started
restoring pieces with resale in mind, experimenting with
different furniture styles and textiles that wouldn't fit into her
own homes decor. After consigning at "The Perfect Thing" in
Wheaton, IL and "Skip's Restaurant and Antique Shoppe" in
New Buffalo, MI, Angela decided she wanted a shop to call her
own. She combined that idea with her past e-mail titles, and
Today's Find was born.

Her sources: flea markets, garage sales, thrift stores, antique
sales, neighbor and family castoffs, and yes, even sometimes
curbsides and junkyards. She gives the pieces time to speak to
her. When the vision is clear, she does her magic with stains,
paints, fabrics, trims, tiles and countless other materials. There
is something for every decor, as her finished creations span
from traditional to vintage, crisp to shabby chic. Unless you're
purchasing a set of chairs, each piece is unique!
