This Chair frame is from a Victorian Reproduction furniture company and was mfg. in the 1950's. The frame was stripped from it's former dark mahogany finish. This is what is referred to as the "Ladies Chair". The chairs low curved arms allowed a "Lady" to sit and her wide skirt to lay flat and spread out in front of her. |
The finish on this Jenny Lind daybed frame was tired and beat up. The side rails were not the original. |
| But I've painted and retrofitted the rails to accept a new pallet and new Custom mattress. Add custom bolsters all done in a beautiful "shades of Blue" quilted fabric, and now it's a fantastic piece. |

| The wood was so beautiful in it's stripped state, that all it got was a cleaning and a coat of satin polyurethane to seal the wood. Then it was upholstered in a beautiful cream linen with a matching double welt trim. A modern twist on a victorian chair. Watch our website for the "Gentleman's" Chair. |
